Milk her?

On Thursday, I was the guest on a wonderful Internet radio show called “Trippin’ Down Memory Lane.” Host Pop Art Diva, aka Terri Dennis, really knows her stuff (loads of trivia from the past) and we reminisced about everything from old TV shows, to historical events, to spoolies, press-on nails, and other glamour aids. I invite you to take a listen and see if any of these memory makers rings a bell for you.

In the meantime, what do “Sky King,” “Super Circus,” and “Annie Oakley” have in common? Well, for those of you who were children in the fifties, they were beamed across the airwaves and into your very own living room along with the likes of the even more famous “Superman” and, of course, everyone’s favorite freckle-face, “Howdy Doody.”

What a great time to be a kid! Many of us lived in suburbs, skated around (key in hand) on sidewalks, jumped out of bushes in a burst of cap guns fire, and caught moths, fireflies, and ladybugs in jars with holes poked in the lid. We played hopscotch, jump rope, and tetherball. If you were a girl, you probably had a Ballerina Doll, a Tiny Tears, or the ultimate in chic—the first Barbie doll.

So, take a moment, think back and remember what was your favorite TV show? Who was your favorite hero? (Heroines were pretty scarce back then.) What kind of games did you like to play? Did you own a slinkie or a hula-hoop? Did you have a bucket purse with a rabbit’s foot on a chain around one of the straps?

The weekends are a perfect time to reflect, take a little trip down memory lane, and remember the thrilling days of yesteryear!

There's something really special about a group of ladies from 20-50 something (many of whom have never met before) that will all dance around and sing along to "Blitzkrieg Bop" and "I Have Confidence" with equal conviction.  Sing alongs are not required at DDPP but they tend to occur spontaneously here in Providence.  "Fight for Your Right to Party" is another sure screamer.

Cardio. Drills.

Leg work with one of those round steering wheel resistance thingies...then medicine ball drills, then balancing on a bosu ball, then squats on it, then running/jumping footwork over the bosu...then bicep curles and then rowing...after that there were pushups and tricep dips...followed by 4 different planks, crunches, and then stability ball wall squats.

Twice.

At the end of the second one I asked if I could crawl to the last station instead of walk.

When I finished...I asked her if I could do it again. :)

And I went and bought the little circle torture device. I haven't had enough pain yet!!

But MAN I'm sore today. And it's awesome.

Yesterday I also did a 2 mile run with a lot of sprints...was kinda in a bad mood so I ran...hard....and got it out of my system.

I'm quite pleased.

I can't wait to do cardio circuits again. That was awesome. I love the pain. :)

And on a side note...I'm thinking about doing MCM next year. Pretty sure I found my motivation. ;)

There are two sites I have added to the blogroll this week. First, there's The Balloon Man in Dover. Dick's site is described as "Anything to do with the Outdoor Entertainment Industry." It is a very cool site to browse featuring many different graphics. I don't know Dick well enough to say anything about his statement "Being an old Balloon Peddler". I will leave that one alone. He does know Howard however, and Howard is fair game, I think...

Another site that was added is 10ThirtyOne To Glory, a blog written by David, a pastor in Seaford. My friend Scott (who's first name is also David) alerted me to this one. David's site is described as "A Mix of Theology, Church Life, Politics, Philosophy, and Culture."

A "rushalanche" is a huge amount of hits a site receives after being mentioned on the Rush Limbaugh program. With that in mind, I need to warn Dick and David to be prepared for the "elbertalanche", which is described as "0.000000001% of a rushalanche" although it is probably less than that.

I've gotten an email and read a post about this next site. Delaware Talk Radio is "Delaware’s First Internet-Only Radio Station to Serve Delaware with News, Opinion, Blogs, Talk Radio." It's anchors are Randy Nelson and Dave Burris. Nelson used to be on WGMD a year or two ago. Burris runs DelawarePolitics.com. This looks interesting. I will keep an eye on this one.

I have had a thought rattling around in my head that's worth sharing here. I have seen many sites that share a common bond in the state of Delaware referred to as the "Delaware Conservative Bloggers Alliance". While working at this blog for a while I've met many bloggers from the western side of Sussex County. We have some things in common politically and most everything else is generally unique to our blog but complimentary to each other's content. In my opinion we seem to get along and at the very least share that common geographical bond that is Western Sussex. We also provide links to each other's blogs. Why not make that loose bond more official and refer to it has the Western Sussex Bloggers Alliance? Yeah, it's a silly idea, but I was tired of it rattling around in my head. It can rattle around the Internet now.

There was a touching moment when Nick Jonas sang "A Little Bit Longer."  During the song, he discussed being diagnosed with Type I Diabetes a couple of years ago.  He said he made a commitment to himself while in the hospital to never let it get him down - and it hasn't.  He has teamed up with Bayer Healthcare in order to share information about Type I Diabetes and to serve as an inspiration to others living with the disease.

A good time was had by all.

kedatangan mereka dimulai dengan insiden kecil di mana si jaimie memuntahkan seluruh isi perut na di mobil dan menyebabkan bau tak sedap di mana2.. setelah di bersihkan, maka si montok ini pun dipakein baju g.. mayan muat juga.. aheuhueahea...

abis itu kita semua makan... yes, makanan pasar malam lagi.. walopun kali ini di beli di kala hari masih siang dan bukan malam.... dan karna kekenyangan,kite semua stuju kalo kue na di simpen dulu dgn tentram di kulkas, sementara kite melakukan hal2 lain....

maka di mulai lah kebodohan2 itu.....

setelah si biang es habis tak bersisa, maka dengan semangat kemanusiaan dan kegotong royongan kita pun saling bopong membopong membantu jason ngebuat prakarya.... tugas mulia tersebut adalah membuat prakarya dgn menyatukan 3 binatang... halah halah...... [poto belon di kirim oleh yg bersangkutan, coming soon]...

trus setelah jari2 g bersatu secara rukun karna bantuan lem UHU maha dasyat, maka mereka pun beramai2 meninggalkan ku di rumah menunggui sang tukang AC, pergi tamasya ke pasar malam.... tapi sunggung sayang seribu sayank.. para cecurut kaga bisa maen karena para tukang maenan blon ada yg bukaaa.. maklum masih soreee nakk...

baru dah abis itu kita tiupppppp lilin naaa..... puhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

I recently saw some videos that don't feature a drag queen (thankfully) but they do show a guy who has an incredible ability to sing like either a guy or a girl.  Nick Pitera is a computer animator by day but as a hobby (that may turn into a job considering his popularity) he sings songs and puts them on youtube.  This particular video has over 6 million hits but he's got several others with over a million each.

I like to apologize ahead of time for my laugh in this: if Lisa Simpson, the Joker, and a hyena on crack were morphed together, that mutant would have my laugh in this video.

This is my first video, and I'm learning the software.  Still, there's some fun moments! Ignore the others. ;)

Anyway, I installed the game, and booted it up, the menu is based right on the games 3d engine, you navigate you're saved games by planets.

The Cell Stage

Fairly fun, and not really challenging, but adding new parts and developing you're creature is pretty addicting, everything you do hear decides what this creature looks like, the abilities it has, and so on. Very realistic in my opinion. The creature I made turned out to be a fierce predator in the next stage, but my girlfriends' creature and jump and fly? It just depends on how you play the game.

The rest can't really be explained, there's way to much to this game than meets the eye, the only thing I can suggest is to go get the game and try it out, well worth the money, but be ware of system specs, I've been reading a lot of users online complaining.

For optimal performance I suggest a Geforce 76xx 78xx 79xx or 85xx+ series card from nvidia, or the Ati/AMD alternatives.
